Prof. Wong Wai Ching Angela has organized an international forum on
“Gender and Religion in China: A Dialogue between Texts and Contexts” on 18-19 December 2015 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The forum explores various issues of gender and religion in China, including but not limited to “State, Women and Religion”, “Women’s Sphere/Space & Agency”, “Marriage and Family”, “Women’s Leadership in Religious Organization”, “Women and Spiritual Practices”, “Women in Ritual” and “Gender in Chinese Religious Classics”. Prof. Wong will also present a paper entitled “Beyond the Boundary of Home: Religion, Space and Women in Hong Kong”.
