我們總在努力扮演一個恰如其分的性別角色，害怕別人嫌我們太高／矮、太胖／瘦、太美／醜、太棒／差。性別研究讓我們看到「性」和「別」，反思自身和生活中的愛恨嗔癡。我們從性別和性傾向出發，進而看見階級、種族、宗教、身體、年齡等交疊的差異。面對差異不用害怕，只要用心聆聽和理解，我們都可以擁抱每個人的獨一無二。

Living up to proper gender roles puts us under surveillance of others. In doing gender studies, we learn to reflect upon ourselves, our feelings and everyday life. Gender studies opens our eyes and soothes our nerves to not only sex/gender but also other differences such as class, race, religion, body and age. Let us not fear the diversity but embrace it and celebrate the uniqueness in each of us.
