The Centre for Cultural Studies is pleased to welcome a new postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Christopher Patterson.
Dr. Patterson’s research and teaching spans the breadth of cultural studies, including Asian diasporic literatures, Postcolonial and diaspora studies, digital humanities, queer and gender studies, critical theory, and video games. To date, his publications have focused on two areas of study: Asian diasporic literatures in English, and imperial attitudes in video games. His book monograph, Transitive Cultures: Transpacific Anglophone Literature, is currently in progress, and he is currently undertaking a research project on games, “Open World Empire: The Cultural Politics of Interactivity.”
