Prof. Katrien Jacobs will give a talk at the symposium on “Women Occupying” organized by School of Humanities, the University of Hong Kong on 27 January 2015. In the symposium, speakers will explore women’s involvement in the Umbrella Movement, how their participation has been framed by the media and the way in which the movement has addressed questions of gender and women’s issues.
