The Centre for Cultural Studies (http://ccs.crs.cuhk.edu.hk) seeks applications for two postdoctoral fellow positions.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree within five years of graduation; (ii) research experience in cultural studies or related fields; and (iii) high self-motivation to develop an academic research/teaching career.
Duties of appointees include (a) self-initiated research and publication; (b) participation in research projects and related activities; (c) support for research grant application and report writing; and (d) teaching.
Appointment(s) will be made on contract basis for one year commencing September 2015, renewable for another year subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should submit a completed application form, together with a cover letter, a CV (which indicates courses taught or able to offer), a writing sample (one published article or dissertation chapter), and a research proposal (4 – 6 pages) to the Centre for Cultural Studies (Room 318, Leung Kau Kui Building, the Chinese University of Hong Kong). They should also arrange to have two letters of recommendation sent separately by the recommender to the Centre for Cultural Studies.
